Thank you all very much for the response. Ran Nautilus. Can copy files to usb, however cannot change owner. When I try to do this I get a message " The owner could not be changed. Sorry, could not change the owner of "usb0": Error setting owner: Operation not permitted".Is there a way to change permissions for all usb devices permanently as was the case with Karmic??. Each time I plug in a usb device I have to run Nautilus. This is very inconvenient. The file system type as indicated under Properties is msdos. I also notice that when I plug in a usb device under Places - computer there are 2 icons. One says CBM Flash Disk:1.1GB Filesystem. The other icon is usb0. If I click on usb0 I can browse the contents of the flash disk. When I click on the other icon, I get a message saying "Unable to mount location. Internal error: no mount object for mounted volume"
Thanks
Mohamed
