[ubuntu-za] Maverick too much promoting non-free? (was: DRM and software licensing )

Hi Quintin

Just out of curiosity, exactly why do think the tick box is more of a 
problem than the software center?

I think we might have to swallow our pride in this case, and regard it 
as a means to an end; improving the user experience and growing the 
market share for Linux. I think Ubuntu is aiming for somewhere in 
between Debian and Mint. The difficulty of consuming media in formats 
requring "non-free" codecs is likely the most common user complaint with 
Ubuntu.
