Hi Daniel

I am NO dev, but IIRC a while back giving it a bash, using the official 
ROR HOWTO & examples I installed on Buntu, and found it quite trivial 
really.

I even managed to get a example app assembled and running , so maybe 
it's the newer buntu versions which arent great.

Try installing 8.04 or something. It took a few hours and I doubt if 
you're expected to launch into space anyway.
