[ubuntu-za] Ruby on Rails

A quick update.

I managed to get the latest versions of ruby and rails working without a
hitch. The trick is to use rvm (https://rvm.beginrescueend.com/), it makes
installing and managing ruby a breeze. It works because when you use rvm to
install ruby and gems and so on, it downloads the source and compiles
everything locally. So you get a ready-made ruby, in stead of a broken
package from the official Ubuntu repositories. Even 'gem install rails'
works seamlessly!

Although the practical is long overdue and I wont get any marks for it, at
least now I know how to make a Rails app!
