I'm with Raoul on this one. Lists work on mobiles and are more appropriate because of it! (Although Blackberries can only reply before, and not within, the quoted text :( )

Yes, but at least with a mailing list you don't have to remember to go to
the forums and check for new posts... the problem with even our current
forum on Ubuntu Forums is that people forget to go back, and thus it
becomes unintentionally neglected and/or deserted.

I personally like the fact that I don't have to remember to go anywhere to
take part in discussions with the community, they arrive in my inbox every
day :-)
