[ubuntu-za] ubuntu fails to install?

Hi All,

I recreated partitions on a hard drive using GParted and attempted to do
a new install of 10.04 as well as kubuntu 10.10.
The device letters have changed from hda & sda to hdc after the
partitioning exercise and ubuntu starts to load then gives me an error
message as follows:
"(initramfs) Unable to find a medium containing a live file system".

I've obviously done something silly here & have no idea how to make it
right.
Any help would really be appreciated.
