Agreed that people normally read text from the bottom up, but then they
read continuously like in a book or mag. When it comes to postings, we
often have long lists and it takes an age to scroll down to the latest,
because the windows invariably show the top first. I notice that some
forums have adapted by now putting the latest on top.
Perhaps it is another of those "what's good for one is not always good
for all" issues from which we could all learn a bit more patience and
understanding of the fact that we are all wonderfully unique, however, I
tend to think that top-posting will eventually win the day.
Whatever happens, it will be a good thing if everyone accepts a
"standard" way of posting.
