Technically, that would be Gnome 3 dancing on Gnome 2's grave. Unity 
just said, "I can't be bothered with Gnome's default desktop manager", 
especially since Unity was initially build on Gnome 2, not 3.

/me retreats back to the comfort of KDE, the desktop everyone seems to 
forget about
