I use icedove (unbranded thunderbird) with the Lightening calendar addon and the Google Services integration to keep my calendar synced with gmail calendar.
Im quite impressed with the calendar part. Also i like how it shows threaded conversations.
Also handles RSS feeds (import google reader OPML)

Subject: [ubuntu-za] Evolution bug
Hi Guys
I've been plagued by a bug in Evolution that causes it to re-download
all the e-mails from a mail server duplicating everything that is
already downloaded. I have 3 e-mail addresses and at intermittent
intervals it would download everything thats on the mail server for one
of the addresses. This happens randomly between the addresses and
currently happens at least once or twice a day. The problem has been
with me since 9.04.
I've could a bug report that was filed for it and added whatever
information I could as well. The only thing that ever happens to this
bug is other people that complain that they have it too!
This leaves me with two alternatives:
- find a good work around to clear the duplicates
- use another mail program.
I'm seriously considering alternatives and is open to suggestions.
The only thing holding me back is the features included in Evolution. A
lot of people like Thunderbird, but it does not have calenders. As far
as features are concerned it really doesn't have everything I need.
I found the following out there. Does anybody have some feedback on
these:

http://www.zimbra.com/downloads/os-downloads.html
Regards
Charl
