I use http://www.vodacom.co.za/personal/main/login to track my balance, and

http://www.vtime.co.za/index.php/data-direct/about

to top up. No need to remove the SIM except for initial registration.

The ARM-based Vodafone laptop I acquired has a Unity-friendly applet that
gives me lots of nice info regarding balances etc. - is there a package I
must install on my desktop to get this applet ?
