Marvel: You are brave or recklessly curious - not sure which.

If you want to experiment like that, I suggest creating a user account for
each DE to test with, this way you do not mess up your "stable" desktop.
There are no standards yet, for desktop settings etc.. across all desktop
environments, so things will clash if you keep using the same home folder
and user account for different DE's.
