No worries, I got a working version from my wife's laptop.  I also
needed two files:
/bin/tar
/usr/sbin/rmt-tar

Just a word of advice to others.  If Aptitude asks you to type in the
phrase: "I am aware that this is a very bad idea" to continue... DON'T
DO IT.  They probably do that because it is "a very bad idea". :-)
