[ubuntu-za] Ubuntu 12.04 with Xubuntu desktop

I am looking forward to Ubuntu 12.04, but am trying to prepare myself
for the transition. My plan is to use Xubuntu as a fall back platform
so that I can continue to be productive at the same time as learning
Unity.

At the moment I have Ubuntu 10.04 running happily with xubuntu-desktop
installed - so at log in time I can select which to use. It took me
some time to get xubuntu desktop configured to be useable (there are a
few holes in the panels and window managers that can cause problems),
but right now I am very happy with xubuntu and feel that it is fine
for prime time usage. (Xubuntu certainly "feels" faster but I have a
fertile imagination).

My question: will I be able to install Ubuntu 12.04 with
xubuntu-desktop in the same way or are there some hidden problems that
might come and bite me?

PS can we insist on a Xhosa pronunciation for "Xubuntu"?
