Back in the day when I tested it, it made a huge difference for me. My default recommendation is that if you have more than 4GB of ram then you don't have a reason to not switch to 64bit, but anything below that and you will probably be better off on 32bit because on 64bit everything uses more ram. -- ✝ Marius
