[ubuntu-za] Scribus Problem

Scribus on my 12.04 machine suddenly stopped working (it appears ok on
12.10). I get an error something like "Scribus terminated with return
code 6". (Sorry, I did not write it down when it happened). It seems a
solid problem that occurs whenever I try to save a file.

I thought that I would try to re-install, so I "marked for Complete
Removal" in Synaptic, applied, then tried to install.

Synaptic gives the error:

W: Failed to fetch
http://za.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/s/scribus/scribus_1.4.0.dfsg+r17300-1ubuntu1_i386.deb
  Something wicked happened resolving 'za.archive.ubuntu.com:http' (-5
- No address associated with hostname)

Any ideas?
