Hi Charles, I don't like thunderbird either but if you set it up to do
pop3 it's livable. I miss evolution. As to contributing, Just your
presence is already a contribution to #ubuntu-za. I kinda live there as
I am also an old crock, and you can learn from the guys there and get
help quickly normally. And the odd bit of humour between them is what
makes up for the things that dont work yet but soon will. Come and join us.
