HI
I am new to linux and have recently installed linux on my computer which I intend to use as a server. I would like to set up private shares and allow certain users to access the shares and password protect the shares. the problem Im having is that I can see the samba folders in my home directory and their public. When I try to add users and assign passwords to those users. I cannot access those shares from a windows client. I then started to use gadmin samba to try and set up those shares. after adding a user with gadmin shares my windows clients can nolonger view the samba folders. I have a workgroup with 37 computers. My network device is Realtek PCIe GBE family controller.
