It is still a alpha1. Or if you looking for a gnome look in ubuntu 12.04 install gnome-panel-systemtools.

You get Kubuntu a version of Ubuntu with the KDE

Is it possible to get a "GnomeBuntu" a version of Ubuntu without the 
Unity desktop  with the Gnome desktop ?

Alternatively is it possible to remove the Unity desktop from Ubuntu and 
replace it with the Gnome desktop ?
