Hi Robin,

It should as simple as mounting the backup drive (home/robin_old) and
copy the required files files/folders (/music, /docs, /work, /photos,
etc) to their new home (/home/robin_new).

Btw, I prefer the clean-install route instead of dist-upgrade. I like to
install from source and I bake my own kernel :) Anyway, I digress. If
you scroll through the ubuntu forums, you will notice that some people
are having issues/hurdles with 13.04 (both dist-upgrade and clean
install) and this is not unusual for the first few weeks of a new release.

Cheers,
Percy
