I am certainly not going to stop anybody doing anything to promote ubuntu.
Having said that, we have some known and "official" channels that we use to
communicate in ubuntu-za and with the greater ubuntu community
*this mailing list
*the ubuntu-za.org website
*a section on http://ubuntuforums.org
*an entry in http://loco.ubuntu.com/teams/ubuntu-za/
*a launchpad group at https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-za
*#ubuntu-za on irc.freenode.net
our twitter feed also appears on loco.ubuntu.com (I think)

We also have some other channels that people use to communicate, facebook
group, google+ group and various blogs.

Then we also have various wiki's that people add to. The list continues and
changes over time, it will always continue and change as fashion, new tech
and different people with different interest comes and goes.

The ubuntuforums.org has not been very active lately. I am not sure what
the reason is, maybe it's just that people use other forms of communicating.

Already this is a lot and it is pretty fragmented and difficult to make
sure all info is everywhere, without causing too much cross posting.

So from a ubuntu-za communications point of view I would not propose adding
another "official" channel. Also I don't have time to support any more
communication methods than we have at the moment.

In short. No one is going to stop a new forum but I am not going to shift
to the new forum as main ubuntu-za communication medium.
