[ubuntu-za] Problems since last round of "major" updates

Hi Wesley,
Firstly, to answer your last question first. Yes, this does sound very
similar to the problems expressed in that bug, except that I experience
it with USB as well as LAN copies, and I don't have Windows involved at
any level.
- all three machines did kernel updates (had to restart) in the last week
- no common hardware I'm afraid. One is an Acer Aspire notebook, another
a Dell desktop, and the third, a custom made desktop.
- they are all networked together using samba. Two connect wirelessly,
and one by ethernet cable.
- no specific drivers on all 3 that I'm aware of.
- The Dell and the Acer are 64bit, and run 12.10 and 13.04 respectively.
The other is 32bit and runs 12.04
Sorry, not sure that this info will be very helpful. Good questions
though. Thanks, and I live in hope that you, or somebody will still spot
something. Unfortunately, this is now getting to the point where it is
making Ubuntu pretty much unworkable. I'm starting to spend more time on
problems than on getting work done - exactly the reason I ditched MS
some years ago. I certainly hope we can find a solution because I've
generally been really happy with Ubuntu.
