[ubuntu-za] Home Directory on Wrong Partition

Here is an example from my /etc/fstab:
UUID=20e48712-3b8f-4546-9d99-135d667143c0 /home ext4 defaults
0 2
You would just need to change the UUID (obtained by running `blkid`) and
make sure the filesystem type is correct (mine is ext4)
Of coarse you don't have to use the UUID part but it will keep on working
even if you physically switch the drives around. alternate example:
/dev/sdb1 /home ext4 defaults 0 2
Note that the /home directory must exist and should be empty.
after editing the file test the mount point by:
sudo mount /home
If that works, you should be fine after a reboot.
(If /etc/fstab is faulty then your machine may fail to boot, and you will
need to boot from a live cd or something to fix it again)
hope you come right
