I use keypassx, and keep it in Dropbox.  The file is encrypted, and it 
has been audited and found secure.  But that way I always have the 
correct version, and still keep it secure.

Note:  Dropbox itself is NOT secure and you need to secure everything 
you put there that you would not want public.
