Hi Frans
would have answered earlier if only I could get connection . duh
now working from my other PC again.
your advice helped in that I cleaned the wireless totally and then
plugged in the wifi dongle.
It then worked in the sense that it started to search wifi - more than
what I had previously.
It now finds my adsl wifi (good reception) and tries to connect, and
even says that I now can disconnect, but keeps searching and DOES NOT
CONNECT.
re the error messages - where is dmesg? in the box it does not show an
error message, only that it is not connected
lsusb - in terminal at root all is OK
I know not how to go elsewhere to sheck for lsusb
