Thanks, Hilton.  The basic solution presented here works just fine.  I
managed to use aptitude to install the updates I needed.

I'm trying to take this one step further though.  I have one master box
and 7 slaves.  The AD (Active Directory) login provided only allows one
client to connect.  So I would like to use apt-cacher-ng to allow the
other boxes to get their updates without using the AD login.  However,
it seems apt-cacher-ng (being a proxy itself) was not designed to to go
through another proxy. 

Is there a way to achieve this?  Or is the an alternative solution I can
use?
