[ubuntu-za] Browser woes

Please help!

What to do about the apparent conflict between Firefox and Google Chrome 
browsers and their plugins? When Firefox has hiccups, Google Chrome 
seems to work better until it starts with the plugin crashes.

I have Googled about the plugin crashes /ad nauseum/ and found may 
"solutions" none of which apply or work.

Do I go for Chromium and scrap the rest?
