Good day all,

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. At the last meeting we discussed
about having a release party for the next release, but it seems that it
might be too close on us to quickly plan one for it. That said, the
16.04 is a LTS and if we start with the discussion now we should be
able to have quite a few for it.

The basics of a release party is to celebrate a new release of Ubuntu.
This is mostly done on the evening of the release but can also be on
the days around it. The event usually has one or more activities which
can include socializing, having a few talks/presentations of the new
release, demos of how Ubuntu works for non-Ubuntu users. To find out
more about a release party see
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BuildingCommunity/RunningReleaseParty.

So the basic now seems to be; who would like to see a release party in
their area?

It would be great if we could get a feel of the interest areas here on
the mail list or our IRC channel.

Enjoy your day,
Pieter
