[ubuntu-za] DHCP DNS not included in DNS lookup

Hi Guys
I got myself a little Beaglebone Black PC for a project and installed
Ubuntu 14.04 on it. A really nice little device.
However, I'm having a DNS issue. The Beablebone connects to my PC
through a networking connection on the USB port (usb0). The Beaglebone
has a built-in DHCP server which is used on USB network port. So when
the PC connects, it actually gets an IP address from the Beaglebone.
The Beaglebone also has an onboard ethernet port (eth0) setup as a DHCP
client. When I plug in a network connection it gets the DHCP parameters
including IP address and gateway. However, the DNS server does not get
passed on.
So essentially when I try to connect to the Internet from the Beaglebone
(via eht0), I can access IP addresses (e.g. 8.8.8.8) but not domain
names (e.g. google.com).
I've looked on the Internet but I can't find anybody describing the same
problem. Any ideas where to start looking for the issue.
Regards
Charl
