some packages to try, these are installed on my PC, if they are in 14.04, I am using 16.04 and the linked file works

Searched Synaptic for mp3


gstreamer1.0-fluendo-mp3


others to try, which might install the required lib


ffmbc

mencoder

SoX

twolame

youtube-dl


also you could try the ffmpeg repo, which is for trusty
