[ubuntu-za] No keyboard detected

I have worked through the bios, there is no option to initialize 
keyboards or to enable legacy devices.

Is there anything else to try before considering a motherboard upgrade? 
Meanwhile the adapter is working fine so there seems to be no urgency to 
do anything.
