[ubuntu-za] Thunderbird behavior

I've not specifically tested the parameters in order to prove that 16.04
is at fault. However, I've been using Mint for about 2 months now, on
two different machines, and have experienced none of the previous
problems that I'd experienced under 16.04. That statement true for
Thunderbird and all other hiccups. Given that admittedly limited
evidence, along with many online 16.04 complaints, my personal
conclusion is that 16.04 is the problem. Sad, since I'd been a happily
committed Ubuntu user for over 10 years before now.
I must say that I'm highly impressed with Mint. Even my Canon printer
installation, which had always been a challenge (surmountable) under
Ubuntu (for my particular printer), just happened without any drama
whatsoever.
