Ok, how is this something that can't be handled?  It seems like these
are being
blocked by Ubuntu specific or 'updated' packages...

I'd love to be able to keep an Kerberos 5 authenticated version of SSH
possible
and still be able to keep my ssh packages up to date but this
is going to make
it so I have to update via the old way.

Since ssh-krb5 (universe) would replace ssh-client and ssh-server
(main), there
is nothing we can do.
