As Reinhard said, ifconfig in some langugaes produces strange output :).
That's why there is LC_MESSAGES. LC_MESSAGES=C ifconfig should display
in English.

30 senconds isn't needed anymore? Well, I'll do more tests and change
that if it's ok for dapper.

wifi-radar brings up interface only if it finds 'known networks'. Those
networks should be setup with wifi-radar in client mode.
