0.8.1 has been in Debian unstable since April 2006 and should have been
synced across.

The differences with debian are:

gaphor (0.7.1-1ubuntu1) dapper; urgency=low

  * Added a .desktop file to the package (Closes Malone #6280)
  * Added an icon for the menu
