i am using now the newest nvidia prop. driver 177.83 from nvidia-site.
fresh ibex i installation.
openoffice is nearly unusable with compiz enabled.
skype got better, but now and than shows some similar symptoms.

from my observation this has something to do with non refreshing graphics,
so in openoffice, when the progress bar appears in the status-bar, the image of  it will remain there and just disappear when moving the window of oo.
the same happens with text: if i write something and than i delete it, the deleted text will not disappear.
it does so when moving the window of oo.

hope this helps somehow..
