[Bug 305239] [NEW] meld dependency not met in hardy server

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: meld

If one attempts to turn on line numbers in meld, an error message is
displayed stating that python-gnome2-desktop needs to be installed for
line numbers to be displayed.  This package should be a dependency for
meld since full functionality depends on it.  python-gnome2-extras is
listed as a recommends, which would pull in python-gnome2-desktop but
neither of these are part of the Ubuntu server distro as far as I can
tell.  Meld version 1.1.5.1-2ubuntu1, Ubuntu version 8.04.
