Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: soundkonverter

(1)
Ubuntu release 8.10

(2) package used:
soundkonverter:
  Installed: 0.3.8-2
  Candidate: 0.3.8-2
  Version table:
 *** 0.3.8-2 0
        500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/universe Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

(3) what I expected to happen:
Rip CD and encode it in ogg format (this used to work with prior release 8.04)

(4) what happened instead:
After adding tracks and clicking "start" all the tracks get the status "waiting" and then nothing happens
This is what the log from soundkonverter shows for every track (also pls see attached screen shot):
Mime type: application x/cda
Tracks successfully read
Executing next step
Ripping
Removing file from conversion list. Exit code: 1

Thank you for looking into this
Adrian
