Binary package hint: ntlmaps

I tried to install ntlsmaps on ubuntu 8.10; but it doesn't work.

This the returned message when I do "sudo dpkg -i
ntlmaps_0.9.9-4_all.deb"

Selezionato il pacchetto ntlmaps, che non lo era.
(Lettura del database ... 99820 file e directory attualmente installati.)
Spacchetto ntlmaps (da ntlmaps_0.9.9-4_all.deb) ...
dpkg: problemi con le dipendenze impediscono la configurazione di ntlmaps:
 ntlmaps dipende da python (<< 2.5); comunque:
  La versione di python presente sul sistema è 2.5.2-1ubuntu1.
dpkg: errore processando ntlmaps (--install):
 problemi con le dipendenze - lasciato non configurato
Sono occorsi degli errori processando:
 ntlmaps
