hi, I'm including the output here.

I'm having this problem with a TV tuner, "Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 1800", not
a camera.

what I'm getting reads:

This is xawtv-3.95.dfsg.1, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.27-9-generic)
xinerama 0: 1600x1200+0+0
/dev/video0 [v4l2]: no overlay support
v4l-conf had some trouble, trying to continue anyway

I got rid of the Warning by installing the fonts.
