Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:

Debian has fixed bug #507198 which was affecting ubuntu (reported by 
james westby) So ubuntu changes can be dropped. 

Changelog since current jaunty version 1.1.6~rc0-2ubuntu1:

linbox (1.1.6~rc0-3) unstable; urgency=low

  * Fix DEB_AUTO_UPDATE_LIBTOOL usage (Closes: #507198).
