The modules should be available for amd64, too.
But AFAIK they are not in sync currently on Hardy. See bug 303199.
I tend to mark the bug as invalid, or rather as duplicate of the "modules should get installed automatically" bug.

"Could not find VirtualBox installation. Please reinstall." is another
issue. Are you missing /etc/vbox.cfg? (I've seen another bug about this
today)
