[Bug 291505] Re: fast user switch applet hangs on login making desktop unusuable

The problem is just as described in bug #203217

In system where numerous non-local user (such as NIS, or LDAP), it makes
the system unusable for a while on login.

I've tried the package proposed by Ted Gould in his PPA, but it does not
work yet (described here :
