[Bug 308638] [NEW] Joining videos with AVIDemux gets sound with blank

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: avidemux

Using AVIDemux 2.4.3 with Intrepid.

When appending a video file to another, the resulting "big" file has an
audible short blank where the two parts were joined, as if there was a
few missing frames in the audio track.

It might be related to what seems to be a miscalculation of timecodes or
frame numbers in the software. I currently have a video file opened in
AVIDemux : going to the last frame displays 12041 / 12041 frames but the
time displayed next to this is 00:08:01.640 / 00:08:01.680 (a difference
of 40 ms). I have tried a few files with different lengths and there's
always a slight difference between frames number and duration. I wonder
if AVIDemux adds a frame to the video tracks or forgets a few
milliseconds of sound when joining the files, resulting in the audible
blank.

Of course, the audio problem is independant of the files joined : it
happened with different files and the join is fine when done with a
similar software (VirtualDub run through Wine).

** Affects: avidemux (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
