Public bug reported:

I'm using the LiveCD of Ubuntu Jaunty Alpha 2.

With special effects (compiz) enabled, large windows opened after compiz
was enabled aren't redrawn (unless resized or minimized & restored).
This affects OpenGL windows too. Windows that are resized to a larger
size are also affected by this bug, even if they were created before
compiz was enabled. With "large windows" I mean windows larger than
about 319x200 pixels (it seems that the total size of the window is what
counts, not the width/height independently).

My graphics card is a ATI Radeon X300. Previous releases of Ubuntu have
worked fine.

** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
