[Bug 312699] [NEW] ubuntu 8.10, qvlc does not set GUI font size

Binary package hint: vlc

I'm working with ubuntu 8.10.
The kubuntu is installed on the computer as well. 
The font size for every user on the computer has been set up using /usr/bin/systemsettings.

Problem:
While starting the qvlc (vlc with qt) the proper GUI font size is set only 
for one of the users. I suppose he is the one, who called the vlc 
as the first one after vlc has been installed.

The used packages:

kubuntu-desktop  1.101
vlc                         0.9.4-1ubuntu3 
systemsettings     4:4.1.3-0ubuntu1~intrepid1
