Public bug reported:
On Intrepid (kernel 2.6.27-7-generic) cpufreqd fails to change the CPU frequency back to a lower value, after raising it.
Following log message is written:
cpufreqd: cpufreqd_set_profile: Couldn't set profile "Powersave Low" set for cpu0
I have following profiles in /etc/cpufreqd.conf:
[Profile]
name=Performance High
minfreq=1500000
maxfreq=1500000
policy=performance
[/Profile]
[Profile]
name=Performance Low
minfreq=600000
maxfreq=600000
policy=performance
[/Profile]
The problem is probably the same bug mentioned here
