Public bug reported:
My laptop is an Acer Travelmate 8200. It does suspend to RAM
successfully with the linux-generic kernel in intrepid and the fglrx
driver.
Thanks to the latest fglrx driver update (version 2:8.552-0ubuntu0.1)
that works with linux-rt I was able to test this kernel.
However, with the linux-rt kernel here is what happens when I try to suspend my laptop to RAM:
- the screen switches to a text mode console (same thing as linux-generic)
- this console remains visible for more than 10 seconds (this is where linux-generic would power off the screen)
- the screen switches back to a graphic screen where I can enter my password to unlock my previous session
- I can use the computer again but the network is messed up (ifconfig hangs)
Here is version info:
$ dpkg -l | grep linux-.*-rt
