[Bug 298415] [NEW] liferea crashes when showing stuff in internal browser

I started seeing this behaviour after upgrading some packages to the
latest version, so it might not be liferea's problem after all but
rather from kdelibs or such. I use Kubuntu 8.10. When I try to see some
content in the internal browser, it sometimes crashed. I have installed
the debugging symbols and called liferea through the command line, the
crash shows that:

The program 'liferea' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)'.
  (Details: serial 70224 error_code 2 request_code 53 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful

Perfect way to reproduce the bug:

1 - start liferea in KDE. Go to preferences and select "open links in liferea window", "open link in..." "existing window".
2 - add the feed: http://br-linux.org/linux/node/feed
3 - select the entry "Consertando a web do seu jeito com Firebug e Stylish" (http://br-linux.org/2008/consertando-a-web-do-seu-jeito-com-firebug-e-stylish/)
4 - On the content window, first wait a little so that it will update the comments, then click on "referência" (http://stoa.usp.br/demarchi/weblog/36261.html)
5 - scroll down that window. It will crash shortly after the frame with some information below the section "Mão na massa".

I don't know if this information will be useful, but these are the
