as this is a uvcvideo webcam and the description is similar to the bug
#290506 i'm marking this as a dupe.  Don't hesitate in reopen it again
if it's not the case

   cheese malfunctioning with UVCVIDEO webcams (was cheese doesn't show v4l2 video output and disables output on gstreamer-based apps ran afterwards)
