I had this problem too on Kubuntu 8.04. I downloaded the latest sources
(2.0.7) from www.kbarcode.net and did a dpkg-buildpackage against them.
I no longer have the problem. Those who are interested the binary .deb
can mail me antonv72 at gmail dot com. It would be nice if there was an
upgrade to 2.0.7.
